Moving Selichot tour in the Old City and Western Wall of Jerusalem

Moving Selichot tour in the Old City and Western Wall of Jerusalem

Approx. 3 hours
Guided tour
Join a special and experiential Selichot tour in the heart of the Old City, featuring fascinating stories and hidden corners unfamiliar to most people.

Throughout the month of Elul, and especially during the Ten Days of Repentance between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, Jewish communities would gather to recite verses, prayers, and piyyutim, filled with powerful themes of expressing regret, lament over the destruction, and longing for redemption.

According to Jewish tradition, true repentance that earns us merit before the Creator includes three elements: "Repentance, prayer, and charity avert the severity of the decree."

During the month of Elul, the sounds of prayer and Selichot echo from synagogues and courtyards throughout the Jewish Quarter and the Old City, and this is the time to come experience something moving and absorb the special atmosphere that surrounds Jerusalem only once a year.

Join us for a special Selichot tour and discover these three elements of repentance experientially in the mysterious and picturesque alleys at the heart of the Old City of Jerusalem. During the tour we will hear fascinating stories and get to know hidden corners unknown to most people.

The tour is guided by experts and licensed guides specializing in Jerusalem.
