What to expect

Our journey begins at the Mount of Olives, overlooking Jerusalem's Old City and the Temple Mount. We drive through the Kidron Valley, passing notable sites like the Garden of Gethsemane and ancient Jewish tombs. Entering the Old City through Zion Gate, we explore the Armenian Quarter, the restored Byzantine Cardo, and the Jewish Quarter. Our path leads us to the Western Wall, a remnant of the Second Temple period.

We then follow the Via Dolorosa, retracing Jesus' steps to his crucifixion. This path includes several Stations of the Cross and ends at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, believed to be the site of Jesus' crucifixion and burial. After exploring the church and meandering through the Middle Eastern markets, we depart for Bethlehem.

In Bethlehem, we visit the Church of the Nativity, the oldest church in Israel that is still in use. Beneath the church lies the Grotto of the Nativity, marked by a star indicating Jesus' birthplace. We also see the Manger and an altar dedicated to the Three Wise Men. The church, despite centuries of neglect and damage, has been restored under various authorities.

Our tour concludes with visits to other significant sites in Bethlehem. These include the Milk Grotto, where Mary is said to have fed baby Jesus, and Shepherds Field, where angels announced Jesus' birth to shepherds. We also pass by the Field of Ruth, connecting the story to the lineage of King David. Throughout the journey, we encounter locations deeply rooted in both Old and New Testament narratives.
